Oil Changes

Changing your vehicle's oil is one of the most important things you can do to avoid bigger problems later on. We recommend that you change your oil and filter at least every 5,000 miles. You may want to consider changing your oil more frequently if you often drive on dirt roads, your engine is old and burns oil, or you frequently carry heavy cargo.

Brakes

Both disc and drum brakes work by creating friction, so brake parts simply wear out. The question then is, are they worn out enough that they need to be replaced? Let us check these components for wear and other potential problems. This simple service can save you money by preventing damage to expensive brake parts such as rotors, drums and calipers.

Inspect Drive Axle Boots

We recommend you have us inspect the rubber cover that protects the drive axle joint - also known as the CV boot. The CV boot covers the CV joint, and since they are made of rubber, they crack and tear open and that allows the grease to leak out. The CV joint will then be exposed to dirt and moisture. Without the boot covering - and the grease it holds in - the joint will fail. So keep in mind that having us replace the CV boot costs a fraction of CV joint replacement.

Inspect or Replace Timing Belt

This is the inspection of one of the car's most important belts - the notched rubber belt known as the timing belt. Without this belt, the engine can't run. During the inspection, Ozark Starter will look for signs of wear such as cracks, shredding or excessive slack. We'll also look for signs of oil leaks from the adjacent seals, which can damage the belt and shorten its life.
